Philip Barnes

“I started my career in financial services in 2002 after a 30 year career with Lancashire Constabulary. I served in locations throughout Lancashire and, after performing many and varied roles, I was an Inspector at Lancaster at the time I retired.

As a Certified Financial Planner; I firmly believe that the interests of the client come first, second and third and with that, my efforts centre on fully understanding their needs and objectives, providing the most appropriate solutions and ensuring that their circumstances are constantly reviewed. The most rewarding aspect of my job is being able to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

I live in Warton, on the edge of the Arnside & Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with my wife Josephine, to whom I have been married to for over 25 years. In our spare time we enjoy gardening and walking with our little dog, Buddy.”

FMB has been helping J Noel Paul clients over many years to save hundreds of thousands of pounds in inheritance tax, obtain significantly higher income on their pension annuities at retirement and consider the effect paying for longer term care will have on an ageing population.

Philip will usually visit J Noel Paul every Wednesday, “It is very difficult to put into words why I enjoy coming up to Kirkby Stephen each week, but I think it is because of the warm and welcoming reception I get from everybody in and around the J Noel Paul offices. We have worked closely with J Noel Paul for many years and I look forward to continuing to provide a great service to their clients for many more years to come.”
